Railroads
Weiner Brodsky Sidman Kider PC has one of the leading small railroad practices in the country. Attorneys in our firm have been involved in the creation of more than 40 short line and regional railroads. We have negotiated commercial transactions with every Class I railroad and have effective working relationships with those companies. Our lawyers have also negotiated collective bargaining agreements with all of the major unions that represent railroad workers.
We are experienced in structuring railroad-related transactions with local rail authorities, ports and other quasi-governmental entities. Our firm also advises in-plant switching companies and other private carriers.
We practice before all of the federal regulatory agencies that have jurisdiction over railroads, including the Surface Transportation Board, Federal Railroad Administration, Railroad Retirement Board and National Mediation Board. Our firm represents clients in litigation in state and federal courts, and in private arbitrations, with regard to commercial disputes and labor matters.
