Excise Tax
Our firm has considerable expertise in the federal excise tax that is imposed on retail sales of truck, trailer and semitrailer bodies and chassis, and on truck tractors. We prepare monthly and quarterly publications devoted to this tax for a major trade association. Our attorneys also advise clients as to the application of federal excise to their products. We have an active practice before the Internal Revenue Service, including assisting clients to obtain private letter rulings and advising clients in tax assessment disputes with the Service.
