Labor Relations
The firm's labor attorneys have negotiated collective bargaining agreements under Section 6 of the Railway Labor Act. We are experienced in representation and mediation proceedings at the National Mediation Board and the subsequent litigation of related issues. Our attorneys have represented railroads in the preparation and presentation of hundreds of labor disputes before various arbitration tribunals, including the National Railroad Adjustment Board, with all of the major railroad labor unions. We have also handled coverage disputes under the Railroad Retirement Act for railroads and their affiliated companies.
The firm's transportation group has been involved in litigation on behalf of railroad clients in federal trial level and appellate courts, as well as before the regulatory agencies. We have assisted clients in challenging adverse regulatory actions and in a variety of disputes between railroads.
